We at KWA cars explore what the future of mobility should mean to vehicles, people and society. Our seemingly diverse project portfolio is united by a constant focus on the desired user experience. Rather than focussing on form or object 'a priori', we take the user experience as our end goal and re-define each time again what kind of design can help us best to reach that experience in a given context. It's our take on 'performance design' each project is designed to perform successfully in it's specific environment, even if that is the race track or a city center.

CONCEPT PLANNING

KWA is unique in its ability to bridge the common gap between research and practice. This capacity is fully revealed in the conceptualization phase where we create concepts based on our research and translate them in real world ideas. Design is a tool to create meaning for people. We do this with the fullest understanding of how both the market and human psychology work.
The true value of the design is measured in the quality of the relationship established with the user.

STYLING

Based on the concept, ideas take more solid form through sketching and rendering. We display our core values through stunning proportions and thorough execution that speak with elegance and essential complexity. With each project we create the design that best satisfies the goal, customer, and consumer. It is precisely why we have a diverse portfolio.

CAS MODELING & VR

The design is re-created through a computer-generated 3D model which is used for assessing design and aerodynamics. Digital modeling and its benefits are tools integral to the design process. Our highly experienced team can create ideas directly in 3D from early design process so as not to loose the spirit often found in early sketches. This allows for the maximum exploration of the creative potential of a project without limiting the imagination to two dimensions.

1:1 SCALE MODELING

After rendering, a design is selected and created into a 3D clay form for further development. A 5-axis CNC milling machine creates a life-size model of the car which is then completed under the artistic and precise hands of our experienced modelers.

ENGINEERING

Our engineering capacities span from early concept feasibility studies up to the execution of final production drawings. In other words, whatever the naked eye can see, we can both design and engineer it.

KWA works with established partners to integrate specific know-how when needed, allowing us to tailor our services to the needs of the client and the project.

PROTOTYPING

KWA collaborates with selected partners for the realization of styling models and prototypes. Examples range from fundamental foam models for studying volumes and proportions up to the construction of functioning prototypes.
